You mean programmatically or via the Windows Explorer? Armin gave you a way via ADIR() to handle the programmatic part. In the Explorer, it's a setting you can change.

However, it should be noted that if you don't have administrator priveledges on the machine, the administrator can hide folders from you.

Further, there's one folder that even with administrator rights you can't access: System Volume Information.
