Thanks for your response. Sorry to be unclear.
The first question comes up because I am considering naming the remote views with the same name as their base SQL Server tables. In the past I have named views with the name of the SQL Server table preceded by "V_". So the first question is: are there any circumstances when VFP will get confused by the view having the same name as the underlying SQL Server table? I think not, but still wonder.
And I have a second question: in the chance that there was a free table in the current directory with the same name as a view in the current database, which would be opened by USE xxx?
