Many times I just see the part of the quiestion by fast reading it and don't read carefully.
Sorry, but for the right question I don't have an answer, this doesn't happen to me before.
But maybe has and similar aproach. If you are appending programatically the items, and yo add a backslash (or slash?) \ the item appears greyed to avoid this set double bachslash \\ to avoid this.
