The only
safe solution seems to be to process the report twice. However, in some cases, you can calculate the number of pages just by counting the records - if you know for sure that you have exactly "x" records per page.
Packing slips might satisfy this requirement.
The calculation would be something like this:
RecordsPerPage = 10
NumberOfPages = ceiling(recno() / RecordsPerPage)
