Open the report as a table (use report1.frx) and look at the EXPR field. If it has a COPIES line, the printer that report was designed on supports this ability. You're program can modify this field on the fly to obtain the result you need.

The downside is this is not supported by all printers (some dot-matrixes come to mind). Because of this, you may have to use a loop...
