The menu builder doesn't need the MPR to modify a menu, just the MNX and MNT. You probably restored those too when you restored the MPR. You do need the MPR to run the menu, which is code generated from the MNX/MNT.

You may have encountered this problem if you normally modify the menu in VFP 6, but modified in in VFP 7 on one occassion, then tried to go back to VFP 6.
