>>I am sure the Microsoft attorneys would be happy to speak to your attorneys about the finer points of this matter. I do not think Microsoft is under any obligation to qualify each act of its business with everyone who has questions.

AFAIK, we are all in the same boat (MS and we, the VFP developers), and also think the idea to have a "powered by" logo is to join us even more, and not to make us apart from each other."

>PS. I have no attorneys, I'm just an ordinary Brazilian guy. In Brazil we don't need attorneys to show a "demonstration of respect...", but I can understand and respect your way of life.

I agree with Fernando here. A nice gesture like an explaination would be more suitable and
would serve to explain the matter, especially to a community promoting, contributing to sell and using your products. But, hey!, who cares, we don't have time for things like that so send the
attorneys. End of case.

Also, my own contribution for no re-branding: Powered by the company well know for its
operating program with the four colors and this small animal which looks like a dog.

Then again, maybe one of the words in the previous sentence has already been reserved by a
big company and can't be used..
