Out latest version includes a RV dbc in the executable. we used gofish to find all USE references and added the CONNSTRING parameter for views. The connection string is encrypted in a file on the server; our apps pick it up at startup and put it into an application object property. This provides great security, we also eliminated the need for ODBC dsn on the client machines. IMHO, CONNSTRING is *much* more significant than intellisense in VFP7, not sure why more fuss was not made about it.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
