Now if you are talking about VB 6.0 as an example you could say that VB 6 was object based while VFP is object oriented. The basic difference in that comparison is that VB does not allow inheritance.
If your comparison is between VB .NET and VFP, then that is something I would like to see a comparison of in detail. OOP has many different implementations when you compare feature for feature. If you compare SmallTalk with VFP, etc. you will see the difference. In the Academic world entire studies are made to describe the differences. In the real world we should understand the differences and then use whatever tool we must for whatever reason. When we have an implementation limitation we try to work around it as best we can.
