You can play with this idea, make a report variable, lnPage, where lnPage is defined as _PageNo. in this way with every detail row you'll be measuring the _pageno variable. When the footer comes you will have it in that lnPage.

This is an old trick that someone else developed, I use it to get the total number of pages in a report so that in the footer I can put 'Page 1 of 8', I run the report once to file and capture that variable at the end of report so I know how many pages there are in report, then run it a second time to printer after number of pages is identified.
