Oh Boy, I just had this problem and the way I got it sussed was in the form.gotfocus I made it do a seek. Barbara Paltiel put me onto that. However in the process of fixing it it was suggested that my parent's table name (transact) might not be the smartest so I changed it and all references to it. I swear I did nothing else but the need to do the seek vanished and I have a lovely grid (well almost but that's another issue)

Any how the seek may be the solution to your problem.

>I have a grid that in it's infancy would respect the .ChildOrder, .LinkMaster and .RelationalExpr. The parent record is displayed on a form and this grid is alone on a page in a pageframe. I used the builder to create it. The table in the grid is buffered with pessimistic table while the parent table is pessimistic row. After doing further work on the form, the grid simply shows all the records in the table without regard to the parent key. What would cause this behaviour? If I use my "find" key to change parents, the same data is showing in the grid.
