Using VFP7 on NT4 network.

Is there any way to give users read, write and modify rights to a certain drive and directory on a NT4 network?

We would like to have certain users update VFP7 tables residing on a restricted drive. We have developed a VFP7 data entry interface for these tables, but the application needs file based access to the tables.

Is there a way in VFP or NT to give users access to this drive and directory so they can update these tables, but not have access to other areas of the drive?

I have used web apps to do this before which worked well since the user didn't need file based access to the drive, only the web application needs access in this scenario.

This there a way to pass in a username and password when opening a file on a NT4 network?

Will using VFP7 OLEDB help?

Thanks,

Jerryt
