I use eLance.com to get projects. They have very well developed uploading section.
I think that they use FTP and you could upload no more than 10 files per session.
You can delete or update already uploaded files through Internet bowser.
They always show the time after file and other side can easy understand that you make updates.
If some stupid guy send something bad, other members inform organization to delete message
