I bought the mid-level package of ISX, and am using MSMs for ISX installation with vfp7.1. I've basically got all the application stuff working fine, but the shortcuts are causing me grief. Things which I'm looking for advice on:

1) I need to place shortcuts (desktop and a subfolder+shortcut in Start Menu) in the correct place, which is the Winnt\Profiles\All Users folders. I can't seem to do this with ISX shortcuts (I used a post-exec exe in vfp6 to do this). Is there any direct way in ISX to accomplish the same thing?

2) These shortcuts point to a UNC server path. I'm having a dickens of a time getting ISX to obey me, various things I've tried all give the wrong target, no matter where I place the LNKs. The LNK inputs in ISX seem very limited.

So #1 & #2 are closely related, I basically can't get links to my server-based launcher exe into my ISX setup and loaded into the right NT Profile area.

I'll go back to using a post-exec in Custom Actions to create the links and place them where I want if I have to (I think that will work), but I was really hoping there'd be something more direct in ISX Shortcuts, considering the cost of the product. Is this a major shortcoming of ISX, or am I just not using it optimally?

Any ideas? Any questions on what I'm try to do?
