I displayed a sample of what I want my output to look like.

I was trying to find an easy way to still have all the bells and whistles to create that xml format from ascii since I couldn't use the cursortoxml functionality.

I have found a way to do it. I just simply added in the header and footer tags as header or trailer to any detail records I had in the ascii file.

Works great.
