In my computer where I am running the program alone, I still cannot rlock() from time to time. I turned off Norton AV on all my client's computers that access this form but to no avail.

The reason that I tested it on my computer as a standalone program is that the users tell me that the error occurred from time to time even if each user was scanning for a different group of items, meaning updating a different record at a time. That is not normal because I am issuing a plain rlock() in my code, which should affect only the current record that the user is on. Now I am finding out that the user can dead lock herself.

Any more ideas?
