Good day everyone,
We have an Access database with customer information that is fairly large in size, approximately 512 MB and occasionally out of the blue while data entry personnel is entering records, they would get an error message stating the following:
"Records currently locked; could not update."
When this message starts appearing, it persists when trying to enter new data or edit existing data. The only resolution we have found is to take the server down and reboot and then everything is back to normal with no error messages. Is this the cause of Microsoft Office or Visual Basic or perhaps our Server's Novell software (which incidentally gives an error message on the system console stating that the "record threshold is exceeded" when I remove a large portion of defunct records from the database.)?

Any help would be thoroughly appreciated!
