Thanks for the suggestions, but none of them seem to work. I've narrowed the problem down to the Word.Document.Range.InsertFile() method that I'm using to insert HTML into my Word Doc. When I disable this method the mouse operates normally but when I use the InsertFile() method the mouse is inoperable in the text area of the word document.

Any Ideas?
