Peter,
On this forum obviously the answer would be VFP + SQL server :)
Grids I tried in VB was noticably slower than they were in VFP (with ODBC and ADO). But you should accept my VB knowledge is almost less than a newbie.
IMO your experience would be the decision maker here. If you'd anyway tend towards a new learning curve than IMO take C#.
