How is this set up? I know that your Fox app is on the network server, but what about Word itself? Is that a local installation on each pc, or is it too run from the network? To be honest, I don't really know where I might be going with this, but it appears from the symptoms you are giving, that Word itself doesn't seem to be aware that a 'C:' drive exists when the client is running Win2K. If 'Word' is on the network, maybe the shared drive permissions on the client are causing a problem? I realize it isn't likely, but right now straw grasping seems to be about the only course left.
