Really, VFP have a large learning curve, maybe this mix OO, Database managment and Procedure & command language. A good VFP developer is very hard to find(i'm not speaking about numbers) because the development requiere more work.

The help ios never enough, in any language, but with a good framework is easy to figure how do the job. I work now with .NET and Delphi and like me the two frameworks, i don't can wait for Delphi.NET!

However, VFP have a very cool features and with proper usage, is a TERRIFIC tool. Really, i don't recommend LOSE the time with VB. Is a toy with too much buzz and documentation. If really you want use it, go to .NET... at leat here you get a real language (with all good things in OO area of VFP).

However, .NET is no so RAD. Requiere a LOT of code for get a stupid win forms for browse/update the data....Inlcude the wizard put a bunch of code in the forms.
