You are talknig two different platforms here. Palm OS and Windows CE (Pocket PC). I am not familiar with Palm OS but on the Pocket PC side you can create a program with the Embedded VC or Embedded VB toolkits (free from MS) using ADOCE and optionally Pocket Access or SQL Server CE. I have not had the business need to do a full PDA to VFP program but it should not be too difficult using ADOCE as the transfer mechanism, (there is no direct VFP/DBF counterpart in WinCE).

There are commercial programs that allow you to transfer and synch data to and from Acess and SQL Server.
