Hi John,

Your ODBC connection can be a "file DSN". And the easiest way to create a "file DSN" file is to click on the ODBC32 data sources icon in the control panel dialog and follow the wizard. What you'll end up with is a file or the type .dsn which is a text file that holds your settings. You can modify them and place them anywhere you want on the client machines.

>How do I trasfer the data between the VFP app and the palm database. The application will have to work without having to set up an odbc connection on each users PC, unless I can do that from an update disk. We have alot of users and we can't visit each one to set up the connection to the palm.
