As I understand it, depending upon which controls you dragged onto the form, if there is no databinding, you may cause a blank screen. I would suggest simply using a label and maybe a textbox just to ensure that the .NET framework is working properly. Once you're sure your server and components are installed and configured correctly, then go crazy.
