So the project builder will bring in the menu code and compile it. The .MNX is a table, not code for the menu. The .MPR will not exist unless she actually selected from the VFP menu bar the Menu/Generate option. I think some are confusing .MPR with .MNX. I don't think the PM will open the table (.MNX) and generate the code (.MPR) needed to compile to the .MPX. This is the function of GENMENU program.

Yes, your assumption is incorrect. Creating a Menu produces an MNX. Adding this to a project and compiling the project produces an MPR. This is without explicitly generating or compiling the menu. Try it.
