Beyond Compare is a cheap, and very good tool for comparing text files. The Class Browers is automatable, and the resulting output can be compared. Or, alternatively, SCCTEXT.PRG, which comes with VFP and is used by the SCCAPI to compare dbf-stored programming objects in VFP (forms, reports, classlibs, menus) can be used to prepare output for comparison. Get the modified version of scctext.prg (probably available in the libs here) in order to get a more accurate comparison.
