If I write a batch file that will automatically install DLL files that my VFP apps use with third party software OCX files, do I have to worry about clobbering Windows/System files that might be newer than the ones that my batch file is copying/installing/registering and do I have to worry about Windows versions from Windows 95 up to and including Windows XP?
I guess the bottomline to this question is should I even bother with this batch file idea. I normally use the Setup wizard to handle these tasks, but we thought that maybe we could do a better job setting up networked PCs installing a common set of needed files for our VFP apps that include third party software OCX files.
What do you think? You're opinions are appreciated before I continue with this task. Thanks.
