Hi folks.

I'm completely new to the visual world. After spending 15 years coding in COBOL, RPG,... and then a few in Foxpro 2.5 (DOS) this is quite a different and exciting world. Here's my first Error:

"The fields relating the parent and child tables are not the same data type. Do you want to add a new record to the parent table?"

I get this when I create a form, use only ONE table, drag a couple of fields from my table to the from, create a grid on the same form using the same fields, place the wizstyle txtbuttons on the grid and try to add a record?

Remember I'm green, don't assume any form of intellegence on my part.... Your help is greatly appreciated.
