More strange things began to happen, such as i would begin to type a line of code setting a variable to the results of a method, ie, cname = thisform.methodname( and as soon as I pressed the first ( VFP would incurr error C0000005 and crash. I have never seen the C0000005 error before, researched help and began chashing the "ghost". I removed the references to the method that contained the select xxxx statements and did an extensive research of the code trying to find and eliminate the "dangling reference".

The efforts appear to have corrected or eliminated the problem.

So far no wierd things have occurred so I am very near to assuming the problem is fixed until I see it again.
