Are you in a position to install VFP7 and its SP1 and try it? VFP7 itself fixed other things too, and this could be one of them. No way to tell given the paucity of information available on what's fixed and what's still an "issue" in the product.

But for $250 or so, seems well worth the shot, even if for only one special customer in one special case.
