Setup could not open the file?
Hi,
I'm still having a problem creating my installation disk. Maybe JimB, if your there, you might have some insight into this problem. (Remember me from the FoxPro Class many years ago?)
Has anyone experienced the following problem with the setup wizard and installation in VFP 5.0a?: (I haven't upgraded this site yet to at least 6.0 because they have many apps running fine and don't wish to at this time.)
I have been using this wizard for several years without a problem at a client site for installations. All of a sudden I get the error message,'Setup could not open the file. C:\ACT\Acct.dbf', when installing the app. I tried re-compiling it several times with the same results, but sometimes different files that will not open. Also I tried another app and the setup did the same thing. I had older versions already compiled and they worked fine. I then re-installed VFP 5.0 and the service pack 5.0a with the same result. I am completely puzzled! Does anyone have a clue to why this is happening and what I can do to fix it? BTW, I made sure the virus prg was disabled. Thanks much.
