You can use the Kodak/Wang image controls if the camera has a TWAIN driver. There is an atricle on the Wiki that would help you get it setup. There is a form in the files section here that should help.

Since you mention image of an eye, if you are trying to do biometric identification you are going to need something better than the typical digital camera.
