Why you discriminate off-site(remote) programmers?
With Internet the world become a "big information village" (this is not my thought) and UT is real proof for that. We give and receive advices from all over the world.
What will be the advantage if programmer is close to you (physically), but with different thinking than yours versus close to you (mentally), but connected with you by Internet remote programmer working on the thousands miles from you?
I could suggest an advantage of remote workers - when you finish your work (if tere is time difference), he/she begin to work and project moves faster. No rental, equipment and etc. expenses.
If there is chain of that kind of programmers there are real possibilities to be developed big project, which will be challenge even for big firm.
