>It works for me at home and at work (IE 6).

Now mine doesn't work at home or at work.

The test file I'm using is :
<html>
<body>
<ol start=9999>
<li>test9999
<li>test10000
with text size set to medium (my default), only 4 digits display - so 9999 is OK, but 10000 is 0000. With text size set to large, I see only 3 1/2 chars, ie right half of leading 9 & 0 is off the screen. With text size set to largest, the numbering is 999 & 000. With text size set to smallest, the numbering is displayed correctly, but if I up the start value to 99999, then digits are off the screen again.

If I play with the style & modifying the margins, I can get to see partial numbers, which would appear to indicate that the numbering is correct, but the starting offset is of the left hand side of the browser.
