Someone replied with a link to a thread of last June (a long thread) that in shorts seems to say that the limit is indeed 255 chars (although I had it dropping off at 220) but that if you add in paths to the path statement at run time, you can increase this to 1024 chars. So the solution was to move some additional paths to my startup program and tack them on there.

Thanks. And thanks for the offer on the tool - I am a pretty fast typist so I'll stick with what I've got.
