I would like to bring up something that makes me uncomfortable. For privacy's sake (and the achievement of overall confidence that
eveyone's privacy will be respected), I think that having the number of hours listed in a message is walking a little too close to the
line for my liking.
It is a little bit like the controversy over the videos people watch -- should that be made public?
Maybe I'm too sensitive on this.

I would like to make a proposal. I propose that a consensus be sought on whether it is acceptable to make
public that someone was "online" on such a day, and that it is not acceptable to "quantify" the amount of time.
I could even accept "Madeleine OHare was online yesterday for a substantial amount of time".
I only have queasiness when I see " online yesterday for x:y:z hours".

I mean, if it were me being listed, I would think "Gosh, why does everybody need to know exactly how many hours I was online"!
Thanks for your opinion on this matter.
Tom
