This thread reminds me of the M. and not to M. thread arguing the merits of using M. or not when referencing memvars. This too appears to be a matter of programming style and whatever works for you.

To me readability is a good case for using If...Else...Endif in most cases, but there is no strict rule, and it appears that there is not significant performance differences either way unless you get into millions of iterations.

I use iif(...) in reports and sometimes when assigning values to variables when the conditions are not too complex.
