I have already applied the fix you mentioned to my 2.5. The fix as such works. But it does nothing to get around my SET DEVICE TO PRINTER problem. I still get an error message that the printer is not ready.

As to the other suggestion I will have to try it on my XP machine (I'm just now sitting at the Me one).
