People are just no vocal enough about their complaints I guess (meaning me). This has bothered me for sometime. I tend to turn the status bar off and use a third party status bar that I can have greater control over. A more flexible status bar is available in other languages and it would be nice to have it available in vanilla vfp too in the Toledo release.

About the only way I have found to not see them is with set status bar off, but I like to use the status bar whenever possible. Like you, no one has complained yet so lets hope that this can be an option to turn these off in VFP8.
