I have never used Crystal Reports but offer a possibility...
File names that start with a non-alpha/non-underscore character will NOT have an *automatic* alias of the file name. VFP will do something (I think pre-pend and underscore) to make it legitimate.
This means that IF your code uses the file name as the alias there will be trouble. Possibly there is code in the .DBC that does so. Perhaps you pass an alias to Crystal.
Just something you need to be aware of.
