The funniest mail delivery I ever had was when I worked for Ampex. Someone at headquarters in Redwood City, California sent me an inner office letter with my mail stop in Sunnyvale. The letter ended up at the Main Post Office in Los Angeles, about 400 miles away! The Post Master sent it to me with a stamped request, ”Next time use your correct address”! Now, I telephoned and congratulated the Post Master for such diligent work in finding my address from my mail stop (MS 10-1). I never could figure how I could as the recipient, prevent the sender or person attempting to deliver mail from making a mistake! :)
