We have a project coming up to convert an existing 4D app (no one available to support 4D). We have not decided on the platform yet, so my boss would like me to compare Visual FoxPro (we are currently FoxPro developers) with Visual Studio.Net (the direction they may be interested in). SQL Server would be the back end either way. We know zippo about .Net so any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, how difficult is it to take existing FoxPro apps and web enable them? Also, how does .Net compare to JAVA? We know training would be involved if we go the .Net route, but that's OK.
