There are other considerations besides record count. I have migrated some of my applications to SQL Server, even though the record counts are likely to remain small.

If this is your first time writing (or migrating) an app to go against SQL Server, a couple of your considerations should be budget and time (it will take longer to write for SQL Server than for VFP tables).
