We try to select a item within the list (using the mouseclick method) but
this does not always succeed. using the arrowkeys on the keyboard do work fine however.

What do we do wrong? any ideas?

I'm sorry, but my crystal ball appears to be malfunctioning today. Perhaps if you could show us some code we could help you solce your problem.
