When I started programming in 1986, I charged $25/hr just to get my foot in the door and for training purposes. I worked on various flavors of SBT -- what a trial by fire! Whew!
Anyway, the dilemma you may find is that when people see your low rate, they'll think (wrong or not) that you're inexperienced and may avoid you.
Once I learned that, my lowest rate has always been $45/hr with no problems. Strange, but true.

>WOW!!!!!!!! I'll say! I've seen from 25$/hr to +150$/hr here in the U.S. depending on the organization's size, business requirements, and geographic location in the U.S. (25$/hr is the lowest I've seen or heard of!)
