the only way that behavior would happen I think is if the text that goes into the list through AddItem starts with a '\' or a '/', I can't remember which. But that symbol is used to disable the line item. It still appears, but it is a slightly different color and you can't select it.

Thanks to you I found a flaw in my mover object. I disable each item as I move it over rather than eliminate it. Then I just discovered I can select it with arrow keys and VFP doesn't know it's disabled when you do that and then the user can move it a second time, not good. But if you select it with click, then it knows that that item is disabled.

Now I have to fix it!!! thanks a lot, you #%@!$#@.
