Are you planning to update the records in the grid itself or do you just want the grid to display the chosen fields of a record?

I normally use the grid to display what I want to see, and then in the Click Event of each column, I add code to capture the primary key of that record. Then I locate that specific record and allow make changes in a differnt form consisting of textboxes. I have not tried updating from within a grid itself.
