Yeah, keyboard control can be a problem, i figure out if I put a check with the got focus it runs the customized event in the form at which it will refresh the combo and stuff... kinda works.

Actually the main reason why i want to refresh it everytime is because of the dependent controled combo will have a different value in different entry... This is what I am trying to do.,.. something like a contact manager... A discipline and a contact table, When I select the disicpline, all contacts listing under that discipline will show up in the dependent combo box. Anyways, I think everything is working ok, except the combo box reporting back into the database.
