It's funny, my development machine is not the fastest computer I have anymore. I used to think that my latest, greatest, fastest machine would always be my primary development machine.

But I've gotten involved with some video editing work in the last year or so and quickly realized that video processing puts more demands on a PC than software development, so now I'm thinking that in the future, my primary development machine might end up being a hand-me-down from the video business.
