I had a similar setup with MAPI a few years ago and didn't have a problem with 2.6 calling VFP 3. An e-mail message table was filled by 2.6, then 2.6 used the RUN command to call the VFP app, the VFP app sent the email using MAPI, and when it was done, the VFP app shutdown and the 2.6 app continued.
